Paramesotriton laoensis is a species of salamander in the Salamandridae family. It is found only in the Saysomboun Special Zone and Phoukhout District in Xiangkhouang Province, Laos. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and rivers.
Sometimes this newt is classified under its own genus as Laotriton laoensis.[2]
